How the editor works

Open a page from Pages to edit it. The editor has seven tabs, and the buttons at the bottom of each tab step through them in order.

Saving

Changes are only saved when you click Save or press Ctrl S. Next to your link you can see where things stand:

  • Saved, with how long ago
  • Unsaved changes: visitors still see the previous version
  • Not saved: something went wrong, and a message says what
  • a red message, such as "Choose a link name": fix this first, the page can't be saved until then

Your browser warns you if you close the tab with unsaved changes. The back arrow in the editor doesn't, so save before you use it.

Undo and redo

Use the arrows at the top, or Ctrl Z and Ctrl Shift Z. Undo works until you reload the page. On a phone the arrows are hidden.

Live preview

On a wide screen, the preview is always on the right and updates as you type. On smaller screens, tap Preview at the bottom right. Views in the preview don't count in your analytics.

Draft and Live

The Draft / Live switch at the top publishes or unpublishes the page right away. See Publish it.

Features from a higher plan

A tag such as Pro marks a feature your plan doesn't include. You can still try most of them in the preview. While you do, a banner says how many you're previewing and a dot marks the tab they're on. They only appear on your live page after you upgrade.

Read-only pages

Viewers, and Creators on someone else's page, see the editor with a notice and can't save. See roles.

Details tab

  • Landing page: a full page with your profile, links and design.
  • Direct link Pro: one destination behind an 18+ confirmation. Enter it under Destination. Visitors confirm they're 18+ and go straight there, and the address never appears in your page's HTML.

This is the part after the slash in getkliq.vercel.app/yourname. It can have 2 to 30 letters, numbers, dots and underscores, and capitals become lowercase. Each name can only be used once across Kliq, and some are reserved.

If you rename a page, the old link stops working as soon as you save. Nothing redirects from it, so update it everywhere you've shared it.

Profile tab

Photo

Upload a PNG, JPG, WEBP or GIF up to 20 MB. You can crop it as you upload, except for GIFs. Starter and higher plans can also use a short MP4 loop up to 15 MB. How the photo appears depends on the header type: a picture above your name, on the edge of a banner, or a full-width cover.

About you

  • Name: your name or brand, up to 80 characters.
  • Bio: up to 400 characters. Emojis and line breaks work.
  • Location: optional, up to 80 characters. Smart location can show a city near each visitor instead.
